Overview
Designing a Mobile App Experience to Alleviate Muscle Pain for Employees and Headache for Employers
Wiggl is a workplace wellness mobile app designed to help remote and desk-based employees reduce muscle pain, improve posture, and build healthier daily movement habits. As Lead Product Designer, I shaped the end-to-end product experience—from onboarding and ergonomic assessment to daily exercises, progress tracking, and employer-facing insights.
The goal was to make workplace wellness feel simple, personal, and motivating enough to become part of an employee’s everyday routine.

Problem
Remote employees were spending long hours at makeshift workstations, often without ergonomic support or consistent movement throughout the day. This created three major challenges:
Prolonged sitting: Long periods at a desk contributed to neck, shoulder, and back discomfort.
Poor workstation setup: Many employees lacked guidance on how to adjust their home workspace for better posture and comfort.
Low consistency: Even when people knew they should stretch or take breaks, it was difficult to remember and stay motivated during a busy workday.
The opportunity was to design a wellness experience that could meet employees where they were: at home, in between meetings, and often already overwhelmed.

Solution
The MVP gained strong early traction with both employees and employers:
Secured paid pilot programs with Amazon and Meta.
Raised $120K in funding.
Established partnerships with 6 companies.
Began onboarding 2 midsize organizations.
Increased user retention by 20% through reminders, progress tracking, and gamified engagement.
Achieved a SUS score of 8/10, reflecting strong user satisfaction.
Wiggl demonstrated how thoughtful product design can turn ergonomic guidance into a daily habit—helping employees reduce discomfort, stay engaged, and take proactive steps toward healthier work routines while giving employers clearer visibility into team wellness.

Concept
Frictionless Onboarding
I designed onboarding to quickly capture the information needed to personalize the experience without making setup feel like a chore.
Profile creation: Users entered basic information, discomfort areas, and workstation details.
Personalized wellness plan: The app generated a starting health score and recommended actions based on the user’s input.
This gave users an immediate sense of direction and helped them understand what to do next.
