Overview
CA Broadcom Clarity helps organizations prioritize initiatives, manage projects, and track budgets. I redesigned key project and portfolio experiences so teams could understand project health, collaborate around priorities, and make informed decisions with less effort.
The Challenge
Enterprise project-management platforms contain large volumes of critical information, but dense screens can make that information difficult to scan, prioritize, and act on.
Teams needed faster access to project status, risks, budgets, responsibilities, conversations, and delivery progress. The challenge was to improve clarity without removing the depth required for complex portfolio management.
What I Did
Project Details UX:
Redesigned the project view to surface status, tasks, conversations, team members, dates, effort, budget, and completion progress.
Dashboard Design:
Created modular data-visualization patterns—including line, donut, bar, and bubble charts—to help users compare performance, identify trends, and investigate details.
Information Architecture:
Reorganized dense project information into a hierarchy that moved users naturally from portfolio status to supporting detail.
UX/UI Design:
Designed cleaner layouts, progress indicators, chart viewlets, and interaction patterns that made complex information more actionable.
Design System:
Defined reusable components, dashboard modules, chart treatments, status patterns, and interaction standards across project and portfolio workflows.
Key Decisions
Surface what matters first.
The Project Details view prioritized the information teams needed most often—status, ownership, tasks, conversations, dates, effort, budget, and delivery progress—so users could understand project health faster.
Turn data into decision support.
The dashboard was designed to help users move beyond reporting. Consistent visual patterns made it easier to compare performance, identify trends, and know where to focus.
Make collaboration visible.
By bringing conversations, team context, and task information closer to project status, the experience helped teams align around the same source of truth.
